International Service Section

1. Rotary Foundation
   1. A sum  equivalent to US $  5100  as against committed sum of us $ 4000 was given to the Rotary Foundation from our Club Members  and this was handed over to DG Venkatesh by our Foundation Chair Rtn.Gopinath
2. Foundation Month:
   1. Foundation month was celebrated with contribution to the Rotary foundation from our club . This year we have contributed  US $ …4000… .In total we had contributed US $ 5100 till date and we have contributed more than  the committed target.
   2. Rtn N Suresh Kumar has committed to contribute US $ 100 per month from Jan 2008 towards Rotary Foundation.
3. International Rotarians:
   1. Rtn Arabinthan  from Rotary Club of Mid town Sri lanka who is also the Director Youth Service for the District  3200  was also present for  the Installation of Rotaract Club of Fomra Institute of Technology . He also invited the Rotractors to Sri lanka for a youth exchange program.
4. Sri Lanka Visit
   1. Joint meeting with Rotary Club Of Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka.
   2. 15th October: Joint Meeting with Rotary Club of Nuwara Eliya at Nuwara Eliya, Srilanka. 19 Rotarians, Anns & Annettes from our club visited Sri Lanka for 6 days.Flags of both clubs were exchanged.
   3. We met Rotarians from our sister club Rotary Club of Colombo Downtown. We also had an informal get together in Rtn.Aravind’s house on 13th October alongwith Rotarians from his club & our sister club.

5. 24th November Foundation Month Celebration. Family Fellowship Dinner meeting at Radha Regency. Chief Guest DG. Venkatesh. Guest of Honor PDG J.B.Kamdar. The club was awarded for highest per capita contribution in the district for the previous year. Large number of district officials and also past presidents of the district attended
6. Rotary Foundation :
   1. Foundation month was celebrated with contribution to the Rotary foundation from our club . This month we had contributed US $ 1800 . In total we had contributed US $ 3600 till date and shall meet the committed target.
7. GSE TEAM – Hosting
   1. Our Club member DGN W Anand hosted the GSE team leader from Mexico R I Dist 4160 during their visit to our district conference.
8. Presidential Conference 2007.
   1. Eight Rotarians long with the Ann’s had registered for the presidential conference held at Chennai Trade Centre on 11th December. 
   2. Twelve members had registered for the Banquent with the R I President.
9. Joint meeting with the clubs of Zone 1 where there was a cultural evening by the visiting GSE TEAM from MEXICO R I Dist 4160 on 27.02.08 at Alumini Club.
