- 22nd July : Eye Camp was held at Dr. Sukumaran's Hospital. Over 10 Rotarians participated on week day morning. 50 chairs were donated to the Hospital on this occasion.

MONTHLY EYE CAMPS
The Monthly Eye Camp was conducted at our Rtn. PP.Dr.K.N.Sukumaran’s Clinic in Ambattur every year and 1265 patients were screened Out of them 68 patients were referred to Dr.Agarwal’s Eye Clinic for further investigations and surgery.
SANCTUARY ACTIVITIES
- Ongoing activities;
- Special educator conducts classes for chilfren on various topics every Tuesdays.
- Bhajan classes at paediatric ward every Thursday.
- Individual counseling Monday through Friday
- Monthly Film Show : Thiruvilayadal
- Special Programmes;
- 18th July: Lunch for about 40 children at the paediatric ward.
- 28th July : Distribution of hygine kit, cakes , biscuits and flavoured milk to children’s ward
- 15th Aug: Lunch for about 40 children at Pediatric ward followed by distribution of Bed sheet and towel.
- 15th September: Vinayaka chaturthi celebration with Pooja. Special lunch with prasadam. Ganesha idols were distributed
- 21st September: Rose day was celebrated. Snacks & sweets were distributed to the children
365 DAYS NOON MEAL SCHEME
a. 42 Children of Daily wage earning labourers are being brought to the center and taught basic education and hygiene factors every day. They are fed with lunch and 2 time snacks during the day and a full time teacher is available to teach and take care of them. The Anns and Rotarians visit the center regularly.
b. Various sports activity was conducted by the Ann’s of our club fro the children on 17th August and prices were distributed to the children and also to the children who participated.
c. We also celebrated 10th Anniversary on 22.08.07 for the above project where D G Venkatesh was the chief guest . DG visited the site where we are constructing a permanent shelter for the children at cost of Rs 10.00 Lacs. DGN . W Anand is sponsoring the project.
d. 40 plastic chairs were distributed to the centre by our DG Venkatesh during the function.
Educational Scholarship of Rs.7000/- was given to Ms.Hemavathy, a II year ECE student of Sriram Engineering to help her in continuing the studies.
Medical assistance of Rs 25,000/- was given to Mr. S . Raghunathan for open heart surgery which was carried out by R C of West .
MEDICAL AWARNESS CAMP & SCREENING :
Conducted a mega health camp with M/s Frontier Health line at Gummidipondi where nearly 250 persons from near by village were screened for heart related problems. 11 persons were further referred for investigation at the Hospital.
